Far better it is to dare mighty things.
To win glorious triumphs,
even though checkered by failures.

Than to rank with those poor spirits,
who neither suffer much nor enjoy much
'Cause they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat

And the clock ticks on....

Whoo damn...it's been a damn long time since I last posted anything...
I would say that I have been busy, but i'll just spit it out...
I'm lazy...hahaha!!!

I'm still alive ain't I? and so the clock ticks on...
Well, we had a 3 day outfield last last week...yeah..before Good Friday.
It was fun...except for the bloody walking up and down the knolls, the rain and the fact that I fell into a mud pit up to my knees... haha!! It was a new experience...
But getting my boots flooded and wet was not a fun thing.
Especially when we had to do a casualty carry after the end of the training...
Bloody hell, those people who fake it and didn't carry the casualties...!@#$%^&*()
I had to carry the bloody casulaty 13 times damn it...13!!!!

But after that was a week's break..that's why you see me posting on a wednesday.
Curious? We had the long weekend from the Good Friday, then we went on a 3 day block leave. Simply put, I book in tomorrow (thursday) morning before 0900hrs... Time seems to jump to warp speed when one is slacking... In a blink of an eye, I gotta book in tomorrow *ARGH!!*

Yeah, I did some digging into unis this week...went to RELC to have a confer with the 'experts'.
Well, so far, they narrowed down my choices of unis to Edith Cowan Uni (ECU), QUT and Monash uni. I wanna do mass comm, journalism....hell, basically, I wanna deal with the media. I ain't no engineer dang it...jobs like those steve erwin has, and those kinda travel show hosts jobs..now that's the job I want..heck, I won't even mind being a DJ..just no more programming and maths... After I ORD, I got a few things I need to do...get a job to earn $$$ for uni, get a driving license..(my sis says to get it in aus since it's cheaper and easier), maybe I'll join the radio academy for a run...see if I can be a DJ....I hate math...

And the clock ticks on....

It's one week to the day I leave for brunei...April 8th...and I will be back April 28th..
20 days of hell. Heat rash, abrasions, insects, spiders, snakes, scorpions and constant rainfall.
Hope I got the right gear .....

T.A.G

hiya guys.
how you doing?...This past two weeks has been a spend money week...i've spent clear over 150 bucks buying equipment..and more to come.....
Everytime we get paid, two weeks later, my friends say they are outta money..and I have like 500+++ left over...
So let's go through what I bought...I don't know the actual cost...but let's try anyway

Hammock
Field Chair
Zip Locks
Rubberbands
Torchlights
Waterproof Bags
Cable Ties
Clips

And now to add to the list, another CamelBak unit...
It's bloody sucking my money....

And then, I still gotta get an emergency blanket...small enough to keep in case I feel cold at night...and 20 Pairs of socks..a pair of socks a day for brunei....

I had a period of time where I was supposed to come up with a callsign...I tried messaging people, but the most help I got was from my friend Faith..she gave me Arcane...cool sounding callsign....but I was also toying with Sand Man which is my current MSN nick...
and then now.....now comes along my platoon mates.... After commenting in bmt that I have lotsa stuff in my locker...(I got more meds in my locker than the medic) and other gadets...they nicknamed me "Gadgetboy"....that was ok..it was a funny name...and now...After a while, another guy joined in...we call him Virgin...so these guys buddied up and gave me my new nick..
Doraemon...I don't know how you spell it...but for those of you who have no idea what I am talking about..Doraemon is a big fat blue cat with a magic pocket on it's belly...and pulls out all sorta dumb things outta it...yeah...you see the connection...now I gotta find the damn ringtone..haha!!

And yes..this week is gonna be fun..I hope..I got a chopper ride to look forward to...but first..it's gonna be my job to guide the chopper in for a landing..then I got a topo outfield...walk walk walk walk and more walking with a damn heavy load...damn......

BOO YAH!!!!!

Doinky, Doinky, Doinky

Well....for those who are wondering what the title means? It beats the heck outta me as well....
I've got 15-20mins to get ready to book out, but I decided to update this beaten old page first..

So how was your week? Fine? Fun? Stressful? Tiring? Painful? Thoughtful? Paranoid?
If you chose anyone of those, then your week went GREAT!!

Mine was a combination of all those...
We had a 200m combat swim...for all those who don't know what that is..it's a swim a combat fatigues and boots...it was HELL!!! there is a 300m one coming...but don't worry..I will find a way to CHAO KENG!! I hate swimming...and don't ask why I like diving..it's NOTHING alike except for the water part.....

And we had road marches...the first one was easy...
The second one was pretty ok...Heavy load, but fun...

Yeah...I don;t know what to write in such a short period of time..anyway, I will be out this friday night due to special battalion reasons...Cya then...
SMS me, drop a message....
