Far better it is to dare mighty things.
To win glorious triumphs,
even though checkered by failures.

Than to rank with those poor spirits,
who neither suffer much nor enjoy much
'Cause they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat

An Afterthought

Back in the civilian world is a blast...well..I'm trying to make the best out of it. I'm learning to drive, I need a job to while away the time. Anyone in MLM reading this...It DOESN"T MEAN YOU!!

Well..anyway. Now as a 'NSMEN', if and when this country goes to war, I get deployed. Risking my life and the lives of my buddies in the field fighting the enemy. It's the duty of a soldier right?

But then again I was taking the bus the other day and I realized something that you'll find familiar as well. Aunties pushing their way up the bus, people standing smack straight in the middle of the doorway of the MRT and then forcing their way in as we try to come out. Some young mothers of a certain culture making their children move straight into the paths of adults coming out of the train hoping to get a sympathy vote and a seat. Old ladies staring at foreigners on the train as they keep making comments bout the sights they see. (Don't we do that as tourists as well?) Inconsiderate people who just stand in the middle of the bus and refusing to move to the rear for fear of getting anally raped by the leprechaun hiding in the rear and thus blocking or worse, preventing people from boarding the bus.

Is that what I suffered two years for? You can say "Hey, the other guys had to serve NS too." You might want to notice the beret color before you go on. I don't care what your rank is. If your not a red beret, SHUT UP!! cause the amount you suffered in your entire NS is taken up in our training phase to get the beret. Back to the topic..I got stung by scorpions, jellyfishes. Sprained BOTH my ankles, injured my lower back and right knee. Carried heavy loads for long distances. Get shoved out of planes. Rapelled from choppers. Battled foot rot, rashes, cuts and bruises. Forded rivers, get stuck knee deep in stinking mud. Risked dehyrdation and heat exhaustion. Fought my guts out for THEM?!!? By all that is holy...are you friggin kiddin me? And not to mention that as a front line trooper, my family probably won't get to bury my body if i ever get killed.

Are these the people I am fighting for? Really....seriously...For my family and buddies I served with, I would fight for them to the death in a heart beat..for these people..I'd rather see the enemy stuff them into railway cars and get them shipped off to some death camp somewhere before I shoot them myself.

Singapore..these are the kind of people you don't want around in an emergency situation because they'd rather sacrifice the needs of the many to save the needs of their own sorry asses! Damn it people...haven't you been taught in primary school bout being considerate? Remember 'HAO GONG MING'..(By Jove...I used chinese!!) Haven't your parents taught you well? Or are you one of the spawns of the young mothers I've seen inculcating their children with heathen teachings? And are now drawing your own spawns into the darkness..

Damnit, here the government is running drills on bomb threats and bio terrorism and there you go rushing and stuffing yourselves into nooks and crannies....please..go EDUCATE yourselves before you endanger our lives!! Far fetched you might say...but isn't the drills the government doing far fetched in that case? It's a probable situation that might occur. And if I am in that area and see that happening..I'll bloody tamp the bomb with your limp, bloody and battered bodies after I knock you unconcious!!! I'm sure you'll fit into so many nooks and crannies after that you'll remain in the area where you were trying to go permanently...
