Like I said...it's a dead year this year. Looks like I've become the grinch with a heart 2 sizes too small or something. What did I do this year? Went to my friends place on the 24th. Saw my old poly friends again...damn..alot of them are in OCS. Good on you chums!! They were talking about their turn outs..haha..I told them about ours. Guess who's was more sadistic in nature. Came back past mid-night..slept for a few hours and woke up to go to church which I slept through...more or less... and sunday...I slept in...heh...had once mama of a headache..... Saw my old buncha youth friends at yishun on Christmas.. But I don't really feel "there" with them anymore. The way they do stuff in general. Ain't my style. Maybe that's the way they were 'taught' by the 'head'. Sad though. When I compare the kids...yes the kids (primary school) from another church I am going to, and them. I see alot more of God in the younger ones. They are way more mature in their ways. Ever seen kids pray till the only sound in the room is prayer so loud it drowns out the music? If being 'young at heart' helps the older ones to bond closer and serve God better, who am I to judge right? Another weird thing. I seem to be drifting from God too... I don't have much time to read the bible, praise or even pray much. My mind and life is way to occupied with things that leave me way tired on weekends. Thank God they starting a YA service at the other church that starts at 1930. At least I got more time to rest and stuff. Oh well...i'll stop my rantings and ravings for now... Next week, I'll put up my new year resolutions..and hopefully be in a more cheerful mood. Till then..no matter how much you think you are suffering...I am way worse then you. Take care. HAHAHAHA!!! SUCK THUMB AND DIE!!! This week we had exercise SEAHORSE...from changi to bedok then to tuas...we sailed past a submarine coming out to sea and stuff...cool eh? And bloody hell...the ride was hell of a choppy..and in the zodiac boat...you literally bounce off the gunwhale. After the stop at bedok jetty, it was off to hantu and i was the coxswain. And I got "screwed" most of the way to hantu. Mostly for the reason of "not following the white water of the craft in front" problem was...I couldn't see and the guy in front of me kept blocking me. Oh yeah..I turn the boat at high speeds..hahaha!! I got the nickname 'L-Plate' on my first day of boat handling..haha..but I choose to stick with "Hazard" on my course shirt.. hahaha...It's fun... Got a PBHT on monday. Hope I pass. And the summary test on tuesday.Pray I pass that too. Might be able to drop in orchard tuesday night or something to check out the carolling and stuff. But more on that later. Grandma's birthday today..or yesterday..No idea.. But yes..there are people downstairs and I gotta go join em soon....FOOD!!!! Gotta book in by 2100hrs...so gotta leave by 2000hrs or something. Yeah...This week is gonna be short too..then back to company line for another week before I get posted to the other camp for 2 weeks for my other course....Cya guys... 6 days to christmas... HAVE A MERRY ONE!!! Posted on 12/18/2004 by <$The One$>

Well, this week has been tiring to say the least...we got our hands on boat experience...And I found out that me and machines don't work very well together.... Damn boat.... Hold ya horses.... I'm learning..I'm learning...... Yeah....But although piloting the boat is fun and stressful at times (If your gonna crash...) it is super TIRING to launch the boats...6 boats...each 160kg...without the usual loadout...OBM is 66kg...2 fuel loadouts and 1 water jerry can...60kg in total...dry and wet boxes, anchor and stuff brings the grand total close to 300kg...pushing it down the slip way is ok..draggin them back up...now THAT is another matter...feet soaked in boots until they are white and crinkly...ever seen the shows where a dead man is dragged up on shore...yeah...feet like that..even nails are white.... First day we went outsea..rainy weather the whole day...freezing cold....and when your wet and cold and you sit and pilot the boat and the wind blows...BOO YA!!! Spent everyday afterthat in seawater..get sunburnt...BEACH BOY I TELL YA!!!! Learnt alot of stuff...ain't saying what though... And unless I go diving...I will NOT go swimming in the sea AGAIN!! Had my 1.5km coastal swim this week and got stung by jellyfishes 3-4 times...but we had to continue the swim..HOO YAH!!!! total of about 10 of us got hit.that's 1/3 of the course..6 reported sick..the rest of us just continued with the day. which was basically go to an offshore island, learnt and new drill and before we could do it..it RAINED!!! soaked our asses cold...hell..at least it was freshwater eh? Then I piloted the boat back to our jetty....yeah..that was basically our week..COLD AND/OR WET!!! Jac..your friend got a nice deal for the dive course. Hope there is quality besides the low cost..the ex company we went with nearly got us killed on our night dive and another group drifted over 2km away....Ask him to get his own equipment if he can...shag to carry in, but much more comfortable to have your own stuff..trust me... Speakin of which..hope I can still fit into my wetsuit..growing fat...DAMN!!! 14 DAYS TO CHRISTMAS!!!! Posted on 12/11/2004 by <$The One$> |
