In a few ways from my point of view... For one, my sister go married...whoop dee doo... The entire ceremoney went off quite well...well, there were a few minor glitches... There was another glitch at the dinner, but that wasn't my fault..they did say it was gonna be done by them..and it wasn't....so my sis and mom are quite sore about it.... But hey...I wore a suit...I've never worn a suit before..and I don't think I will be wearing it again for quite some time to come...So for those of you who managed to see me in on..lucky you... I might just put up some pics of it...and don't ask me about wearing a southpark tie to my sister's wedding..... And the O level results are out. Kudos, to jackie, van, ying and jj...congrats..hope you get the course/jc of your choice... No more mind games from me, no more sleepless nights...no more fun for me...sigh... But look on the bright side, you've crossed the hurdle and you can taunt the next batch of people taking their Os this year....I'll join you.... And lastly..I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing... The rain is back!!! WHOO HOO!!! As I'm sure all of you in this country have been experiencing a major heatwave..unless you've been staying in an air-con room for the two whole months of january/febuary.. Let's weigh out the pros/cons shall we? Pros: Sleep better at night in the bunk Much cooler weather to run/train in Less chance of heatrash Cons: More mozzies in outfield Gonna get soaked in outfield No way dry to sleep/sit on in outfield Well, I more or less even'ed out the odds....but sure as heck...mozzies in outfield are not things you can just put out of your mind... If it's not the incessant buzzing near your ear that bothers you as you sit, squat, kneel, prone in the field, it sure as heck is gonna be the remaining love bites they leave behind after they lovingly land, caress and suck your blood to fufill their nutritional needs so they can go off and breed to spawn even more of the devil's minions to continue the cycle all over again.... DAMN THE MOZZIES!!!!! Posted on 2/28/2005 by <$The One$>

I realised that I have been having less and less to say here...Much has been happening, but I can't talk about anything online cause of sensitivity issue... Sorry eh? But look on the bright side...you will all be reading of my suffering and pain..Good eh? Cya around.... Posted on 2/20/2005 by <$The One$>

This is a sad period once again.....for a few reasons.. 1)...income was low this year...anyone got the same feeling?? 2) CNY's holiday is over...I mean..this week just flew past in a blaze...Now it's sunday afternoon and I gotta go back to camp tonight... 3) VT is over..everyone is back in camp...and training for brunei is over..which means hard times are back..route marches in the afternoon sun, heat rashes and stuff...oh boy.... And those lucky few that are going to OCS and sniper course...Good for you..you guys escape brunei... For the rest of us unlucky souls...God bless...Good luck Posted on 2/13/2005 by <$The One$>

Anyway, the past week was kinda fun...let's go through it slowly... Bright and early monday morning...our Stand in CSM 1SG koh who happens to be my Ps..and a damn good one at that took us for PT. It was a power run training session. 4 x 500m sprints /2min each. and 3x 100 uphill sprints/strides...it was a damn invigorating session..though it did make me want to crap a lot...Hey....I dunno why, but I feel like crapping when I go running sometimes. And Hell yeah..I love the vending machine outside our bunk. An ice-cold can of 100+ after the run when your hot and sweaty..hits the G spot right there.... Tuesday was led by our csm...dumb ass run..we were running for like an hour or so. Uphill, downhill, sprints, backwards run, push ups and stuff. The dumb thing is he wants us to do a head count and stuff from the back up silently..how dumb assed can this black man be? And not happy, he makes us sprint up and down hill. Which brings me to a very interesting guy in our company by the name of Freddie Lam Jia Seng or something something. This guy (as the entire company except him and his honchos) knows that he's all talk and no action. Lemme bring up a special paragraph on this clown. Freddie Lam Jia Seng: Nick: Freddie Lam Chao Keng (given to him by his platoon) Gender: She-male Good at: Talking alot no action, act big Bad at: Getting somethings done. Observations: During our boatman course...now let me deviate a bit...boatman..you would expect to get wet don't you? But no...this person who talks so much bull one day when we were anchoring the boat and someone had to get down because I was holding the anchor, I called him..and he gave in his pitiful voice "I don't want to get wet" how dumb assed can that be? But that wasn't so bad..I just gave him the look and did it myself. On to demolition course. He said out loud "We commandos can do anything better than the engineers" His claim didn't hold no water. For himself that is. I ain't claiming to be a good runner..there are lotsa people out there way better. We ate alot for breakfast, so we puked. I puked a bit. And when the OC asked if I was ok, I just said "Lets get it on" He on the hand after biting off one huge piece of bull's butt. Puked and fell out. How embarassing can that get? And back at the end point when we were doing our statics and cool down..he was sitting in the corner. Now back to camp. I did guard duty with another senior personel..and they did guard with mr Lam...and yes..all acknowledge he talks alot of crap. BACK TO TUESDAY!!!: And yes, on our run, he fell out...4 - 5 TIMES!!! GET OUT OF COMMANDOS MAN!! YOUR BRINGING OUR REP DOWN!!!! We ran hardly 1.5km and suddenly he disappeared from beside me..head count...53/54..he was lagging so far back, we had to stop. So he was pushed to the front again...run...he fell out AGAIN!!!(x2). So slow, he comes front...we do a power run and back peddling...fall out (x3)...and because we couldn't do a proper headcount like our csm wanted us to he made us turn around and run uphill to which freddie said to me "Thanks alot Janan" with the sacarstic tone. To which I replied "If you can't take it, just sound off and move up to the front" Weakling...uphill dash and downhill again...fall out (x4 and x5)...He's so sad.... After that settin up of the chairs or something, he did this stupid action of saying "scared" and bringing your hands up..imitating our csm...he looked so dumb, he should see himself in the mirror when he does that. To which again I replied "Freddie for someone who can't do anything, you sure talk alot" and it shut him up again..What is his problem??? Wednesday. We had our power run again. 5x 500m sprints and 3x100 uphill sprints..SHAG but damn fun... 5th Coys ORD parade...sad sad sad sad sad...they are standing down, 3/4 coy get their ops status and we...sigh...5 mths to the red beret.....sigh..... Thursday...we had a swim in the morning..was supposed to be leisure swim, but it was our csm(i think) who wanted to make us play waterpolo..to which I smartly backed out off... Stoned in the water.. After our swim, we kinda kept the chairs and went to sleep..to which I awoke with a fever of 38.4....No idea why..Nights out that day..I just slept in camp..to tired to go out..had to go shower 3 times to cool off.. Thank God my platoon mate had some fever meds... Friday...GUARD DUTY!!!...it was boring, but I found the book "Da Vici Code" in the room so I started reading it..I finshed like 80% of the book in 1 day...and one of the RP's took the book home..I don't know the ending..IT"S DAMN ANNOYIN!!! I better find someone who has the book... Oh yeah..they had nights out again. Too tired to care about that..Oh yeah...woke up with a bad knee...keeps making this "cracking" feeling everytime..hurts sometimes and stuff..Doc said something is torn or something something..Hey..it was a chinese doc and she said that by tearing a small corner of the newspaper to indicate to me what she was talking about. Saturday...I went up to find the entire company area cleaning and half way through our baths. Two of the guards came up. One of them lost an MP3 player..so we got searched (guards only)..then did some admin work and it was bookout time!! Sunday: BOOK IN TIME: 2330... But me gotta go earlier..got work to do... Next week is chinese new year...although I am 'Kantang' Please note that I do however practice the collection of angbaos and partaking in goodies...so If you would like to give me one..please let me know...and I wish you a happy chinese new year too...
